College of International Affairs, National Chengchi University, Taipei

Founded in 2001, the College of International Affairs aims at developing the talents necessary for dealing with matters related to diplomacy, national defense, cross-strait affairs, and international relations. The College likewise trains researchers in the fields of international relations and China studies, and conducts commissioned studies on the government or public organizations, while also providing consulting services.

The College currently consists of the Department of Diplomacy (which offers master’s and doctoral programs), the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies (offering master’s and doctoral programs), the Graduate Institute of Russian Studies (offering master’s program). To provide both military and civilian officers with a chance for further studies in the field of strategy and world affairs, the Department of Diplomacy in 2000 established a master’s program in Strategy and International Affairs. A new master’s program in National Security and Mainland China Studies for high-ranking government officers was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002.

Contemporary Chinese Politics Research Institute, Shenzhen University

Contemporary Chinese Politics Research Institute of Shenzhen University was founded in 1999. Curently it has four main research focus: China’s political rform and grass groots democracy, governance and administrative reform, political civilization and Chinese political culture, and political aand administrative development of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.

China Center for Strategic Studies, Peking University

China Center for Stratergic Studies was found in 2004 at Peking University by combining resources of several academic research institutes to promote academic studies of China’s overall strategies in development, education, international relations, cultrual exchange and national security.

Center for U.S.-China Policy Studies (CUSCPS), San Francisco State University

Center for US-China Policy Studies (CUSCPS) is a research unit based in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS) at San Francisco State University. The Center seeks to advance knowledge of China and deepen understanding of US-China relations. It promotes research, teaching, training, and outreach on US-China domestic and international policy issues. It provides policy research, data collection, analysis, and consultation to interested government agencies, non-profit organizations, community groups and businesses. It facilitates academic exchange and serves as a bridge and a base for collaboration between the college and the university and any other institutions or organizations, particularly in China.

Institute for Political Development and Governance (IPDG), Peking University

Institute of Political Development and Governance of Peking University is founded in July 1999 in a bid to give full play to the theoretical superiority and make in-depth research of important theoretical and practical issues in political development and governance. On December 26, 2000, the Institute of Political Development and Governance of Peking University was endorsed as a Key Politics Research Base, one of the 100 key humanities and social science research bases approved by the Ministry of Education.
